


The project is located in Berlin-Lichtenberg and houses 775 student apartments and a supermarket. Completion was in 2017 and 2019. The 13-story high-rises were pre-leased to the Bürgermeister-Reuter-Stiftung. The supermarket is being built as a joint venture.
After the client realized that their project goals were at significant risk due to the initial planning team and that both space efficiency and on-schedule completion were jeopardizing the project, GC was commissioned with project management and the realignment of the project.
Goals were:
Assistance in negotiating the lease agreement
Assistance in defining the project goals to be adapted
Restructuring and supplementing the planning team
Planning optimization from an economic perspective
Ensuring deadlines were met
Identifying potential savings
Adapting the original procurement concept to the project goals and managing the tendering process
Assistance in awarding the contract to a general contractor
